I guess I couldnt tell witht that plastic cover on top. So is an Lt1 in a Jeep a real common swap? I never would of thought. Just make sure with all the off roading you do to try to keep the optispark as dry as possible.
the optispark issue usually scares most people away. I don't go near water all that often so I'm not concerned. I don't see the LT1 in very many rigs. Most money spenders prefer the LS1 but I like the grunt of 385ft.lbs I'm running shorty headers and doing some intake mods. I'm hoping to have pretty good numbers.
yeah i don't see it in many rigs either. it just so happens my buddy got one in his. but i don't see em that often.
MR. CLIFFORD...yeah he put that home base plate thing on top so ya couldn't really tell. What year is yours out of? yeah you should have some really really good numbers. hes runnin headers and an intake and a bunch of other performance mods. what gears are you gonna run? and what tranny? lol
my buddy is runnin stock gearing with the LT1 engine and tranny but man this thing will fly! your gonna have plenty of power for those big rocks. but your gonna need that cherry picker ...man that looks like a lot of work
I'm going to run 5.13s in my 14 bolt and chevy 60. Once I get some more hydraulic fluid for my picker I can pull the tranny and take it to the tranny shop. I'm having them go through the 4l60E with the "BEAST" reaction shell and some other goodies to beef it up. They will also install my new output shaft and 4wd output housing. Then I can mate my NP231 and Dana 300 behind it.

If there's a will, usually there's a way, but then you get to that bolt that you still can't get to with two extensions, two universal sockets, and a contorsionist midget trying to help you.
1999 XJ Four door, mostly stock for now, but I am in the process of building a custom plate bumper.
