Thanks guys, I have a 32 ft class a motorhome and the jeep is my tow , so a trailer is out or the question. The Kayaks have to go on top of the jeep. Thanks for all the replies.

i always just throw them up on the soft top. Front rests on the headerbar and the back just rests on the softtop frame. Some ratchet straps going down to the D rings on my bumpers and its all good. had two kayaks on top today and they dont move at all. just like in my profile pic

This is exactly what I do. Two side by side ontop of the roll bar with ratchet straps to d rings or front bumper. Ratchet straps to rear bumper. And a bungee or two from side to side for precautionary measures. Two fit fine and snug. I can carry three by putting one in through the back window as well. No racks or trailers necessary.
