Lets see some PIC of the windshield down

Getting ready to pull the top off and I am toying the thought about dropping the windshield on the TJ. used to do it all the time with the CJ.

So what does it look like and any suggestions?

I can't think of a single good reason to do this.

Stock "cage"? Kookier than a submariner goes for that first girl showing him interest at the bar after 6mo at sea.

I took mine down and left it for about a week a few months ago. Pretty fun to drive around town but I didn't go over 45. I think everyone should try it at least once.

Nope, could never trust myself with one. Too many friends dead or disabled from two-wheelers. I live.
Cycles would have killed me by now. Get my temporary speed fix from fast snowmobiles.
Not even sure if windshield-down is street legal.
I see no advantage unless you like picking bugs from the your teeth. I don't think my pretty face (oh so very pretty, lol) could take the abuse that my windshield does.
Maybe rock crawling??? Better view for that I reckon.

I got about 200,000 miles on a bike, I would be riding now but I am to old and beat up from the US Navy to still ride.

Nothing like wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth. Hmmmm yummy. As soon as the snow and hail lets up here, the top will come off and sometimes the windshield will go down.

Got to check Oregon laws first.....

Mine almost got me once, but I lived to ride another day. Actually, a lot if days. It happened years ago. I still ride.

I think it looks funny with the windshield down. That's all I have. GOOD DAY!

Well Oregon State Police say it ok to run with the windshield down. Got to have it on but it can be down.

So what are you trying to say there? Submariners don't act like that, Skimmers do that.

Reemember only to types of ships in the Ocean.........

Way back when, (1940's) when the jeep was still a baby, the Idea was that by folding down the window, a Jeep could travel through thick trees with low hanging limbs easier. Since the TJ has a rollbar, it is rather pointless. Unless you plan to have a passenger shooting while you drive.

Usually I shoot out the back while kneeling on the rear seat... I'm going to have to try this with a guy in the jeep in front throwing the clays rather than the front passenger.

I have put these pics on here before but I had the bug also. I'm glad I did it but now I'm glad I'm over it.
