My rig made Varsity!!!

Hey, everyone!

Well, since I have a girlfriend I of course was forced to go out for tonight...went downtown Denver to one of our favorite places which is located on a street called "Larimer" which is always lit up by canopy lights and is only valet parking. Decided to leave my daily driver at home and take the Jeep out for the date. Also decided to forget the hassle of parking down on such a busy place on this kind of night (friday and valentines) so just hit the valet. Gave them my keys and went inside. About 10 minutes later I see my rig pull up again and parked on the street which is basically their "showcase row". Originally she was parked in front of an Audi R8 (moved in the pic) and a new Range Rover (the white evoque) as well as a Ferrari 360 in front of me (didnt make for a good pic) but before i could get the pic the R8 moved and then the valet pulled up someones Honda Pilot behind me (it was for an old couple so i wasnt too upset lol)...The spot my rig took was from a new Bentley Continental that had driven off

Anyway...i was PUMPED that my rig was clean enough and nice enough to make their showcase row!

Couldnt stop smiling...the girlfriend and i got 5-6 compliments as we were leaving as well!

In the three years I've lived here and the 2 years the girlfriend and I have gone downtown I have yet to see another Wrangler parked on Larimer street on a Friday/Saturday...definitely proud of her tonight!

I havent edited the pic in photoshop yet so heres the rough copy!

One of the simplest but nicest Wranglers I've ever seen.

Yeah, it was awesome to see it pull up again...basically that street just has really nice restaurants, some bars with dress codes, little coffee/cake shops (where we went), and is always lit like that...

Wish that R8 wouldn't have left before I got the pic but it was so busy it was hard to get a pic from the street angle (waited through a few red lights)

I'll try and edit it sometime today

Looks great Owen.
I like parking beside fancy cars too, made it a point to park beside a Lambo one day.

Nice!

Hopefully I can get front row again when I go down next and get a nicer ride behind me. The Ferrari in front of me just made for a bad pic...

Usually a couple bentleys, Ferraris, maseratis, and others down there...

Hahah the difference in those two vehicles. Both awesome but polar opposite.
And owen i agree i love how simple your jeep looks. Makes it look awesome because so many have so muh extra (which is sometimes cool) but rarely one lifted up and so simple. I like yours too blkrubi!

I have been just trying to get mine back to a rolling chassis. It is close but I had a problem with the rear shock mounts. I had to cut them off and make new ones. Waiting to take the rear axle back to the sand blaster this week if the weather clears up a little.

I'm sure you'll have it up and going in no time!

I'm actually about to take the mirrors, front sway bar cover, and a couple misc pieces off to repaint black...also going to throw the rear end up on jack stands to fix the ebrake. Job starts march 3rd so around May is when i hope to get the newest mod...already have it in mind!

Perfect way to show off a great looking jeep i'd say! Haha got some things I'll be adding to my Tj pretty soon, so a build thread may be in order.
