1" BL is my recommendation too. There's no benefit to paying extra for some of the more expensive versions either. For around $80 you can get the Performance Accessories 1" BL which is probably the most popular because it is good quality, complete, and not overpriced.
mine with 4" susp and 2" BL
i suggest 2" BL
sorry its not that good or big of a pick of the actual lift, but trust me it looks fine with the huge tires and big susp lift, now if it is ur only lift it may look weird, but there is so much open air everywhere elase a little gap doesnt make that much ofa difference
have you seen a 2" BL or are u just saying that b/c u think a 1" looks a little silly and imagine a two inch lookking completely silly
i can tell u in my eyesd it is perfectly ifne, but a three inch is a no no, 2" is just abrely noticable and only from the side if you are looking right under the tail lights
My 2" BL looks good.. the only thing i dont like about it is the back area bellow the tail gate. I flipped my stock step frames upside down so my side steps are virtually the stock space from the body. You can barely notice it in the front and in the back is the only area that shows.
The reason that the 1", or 1.25" body lift is more favored than the 2", or 3", is because of the amount of torque that is applied to the body, on the rocks. For those that do not play on the rocks, and don't mind the air space between body and bumpers, it really is no big thing. As they say, it is all about personal preference. As with anything, the further away the weight is, from it's mounting point, the weaker it becomes.
no to mention anything bigger is plain ugly.. IMO.. I dont thing it would look that bad if you had a 2'' BL with a 6'' Suspension lift and with tires larger than 35's.
idk what im gonna do? Here's a pic w/ a 3" suspension lift now. Im gonna do the BL this spring, and im gonna do the bumper with tire carrier so the gap on the rear wont show. And im not a hardcore rock crawler. Mostly a DD that gets durty every once in awhile.
What size tires are you wanting to run?? Are you wanting the extra room just for looks or so you can fit a larger tire?? My suggestion is like most, I would stay with a 1 in BL. I think that any more than that gets a lil on the unsafe sideputting such long bolts holding your body onto your frame. Just think, it's just like sitting your body up on stilts, the taller they are the more stress you are putting on the mounting points.
My front mount is square with 4 bolts and the rear mount is triangular with 3 bolts.. when you flip them over the fronts will all line up but the rears wont.. 2 out of the 3 will line up in the back and the 3rd one will be right on the edge so you will be able to grab the edge with the 3rd bolt.
in that case go with 9" fabritech lift then unk: You're right it wont be very noticeable with 1" however it will give you clearance between your tires so you will "notice" it when flexing...
i would far rather just gain an inch then have that big ugly gap from a 2" BL. if you don't care so much about how it looks and just want it to be higher then go for the 2"
The Kilby bumper sits lower and uses no extra plate for the winch is why.
Thanks, looks better with the winch mounted on it now though.
