New 2004 Rubicon

Picked up a 2004 Rubicon the other week with 43k miles, one owner with no mods. Added some items including a front bumper from barricade, smittybilt winch, rockers, and some other goodies. Let me know what you guys think, and what I should do next! Please keep in mind I keep the car in New York City in my building garage.

Nice find, that is a gem! I agree with Edgeoftroykennels, think about what you want to do with it and take it from there.

Being completely open, I'm just now getting into taking the Rubi offroad. I wasn't crazy about lifting my 2005 sport when I had it, but now I want to take this to the next level - while still keeping it my daily driver. What I'm thinking is the following:

- 2 or 2.5 inch lift via Skyjacker with Nitro shocks
- Rear smittybilt xrc bumper or related with space to fit a jack
- Front tints, 35%

That's the beginning. As mentioned, I put the rockers, front bumper, winch and some other items on the past few weeks - now working on the rest. Question is do I keep the stock Rubicon wheels and put bigger tires on - or do something like the AEV or Pro Comp with bigger tires. I heard that more of a mud tire is bad for the winter - not sure how true that is? If you guys have any tire sizes that may be good for all around outside of an all terrain - appreciate any thoughts.

Nice looking rig! The consensus is that 33's are big as you want to go without having to upgrade steering and brakes. 35's can get pricey to run correctly when you add up all the extra's, so it really depends on your budget.

Shoot me a PM if you'd like a quote on any of the parts you have listed there, or if you have any questions!
