Picture of my jeep with 2" BB

I just got my jeep back from the shop today with a new 2 inch BB installed. I also had them put on some pro comp mud terrains 31x10.5 with pro comp wheels. It sits higher than I expected and rides better than I thought. If your thinking about doing a cheap lift, I recommend the 2" rubicon express BB. Anyone have a 2" BB with 32's? Looking back I should have gone 32's.

Looks sweet! I did a 2" BB also with 245/75r16's I love it thought about 32's but it would only be an extra 1/2" of ground clearance and lose a 1/2" wheel flex space so I'm undecided.

Any more pics? Any idea what the backspacing is on those wheels?

Congrats!

The tires are Pro Comp mud terrains, and they are 31x10.5.

Also thanks to everyone that complimented my ride.

Nice looking rig. ProComp has a buy 3 get 1 free deal going on right now too but it ends Sept 5th I think so if you're thinking of buying tires, now would be a time to do it.

Is an alignment suggested after installing a BB?

its definitely not a bad idea. most write ups that i've read do suggest doing one. you can actually do one yourself here's the link Basic Jeep Front End Alignment
when i finished my BB i took it around town and then to the highway for some flatter driving and she was just as straight as before. i did follow a little of the self alignment write up when i got back.

Yes. You're changing the geometry of the suspension, therefore get the alignment or pay the price of it in tires. Been there, done that.

New guy here and will post shortly about my TJ but I wanted to ask if you removed the corners of the rear bumper or got it that way? I like that look. I have been tossing around that change for some time now. Thanks!

What I'd like to know is wheter the damage to the right rear corner happened after the bumper end was removed, or if was the end cap was damaged and the same time and then removed.

Get out your torx head screwdriver, (forgot size)and take a few screws out to remove the end caps...all 4 corners removed in about 15minutes. It does look better without them.

^ same here. no issues with mine. islandmonkey, if you have a floor jack, jackstands and some time to spare, you can do the mod yourself. i'd definitely recommend it. you feel pretty good if its your first job! don't forget to rent some spring compressors!

It happened right after i took the bumper ends off. Im thinking about covering that up with some black diamond plate rocker guards.

I've got some rust bubbles I'm thinking about doing the same thing with.

That had to irritate you knowing that if the bumper ends were still on you might not have had the same or as much damage.
