Looking at buying the BDS 3 inch kit, do you still run stock control arms? Does the front sit level or would you recommend a spacer?

mine does not sit level, but I also have an 8.8 so not sure if that has anything to do with it. Its about 3/4 inch difference in front and rear. ECGS replaced my control arms, but were replaced with used stock due to my old ones being worn, IIRC.

After I dropped the air down to 28 from the 35 that Discount Tire put in, it rides better than factory... At 35 it rode like a wagon with wooden wheels!

Hows the ride on the streets with the BDS lift. Did the springs settle at all, and how long have you had the lift kit on for now. Does your top of tire to bottom of fender still at 6.5. Do you have a BL as well?

THe ride is great on the street after I aired down to 28 from 35. I am still even all the way around. Well, depending on where you measure.
With a straight edge I was able to get a accurate measurement.

6 3/4 rear and right over 6 1/4 in the front.

The lift has been on for about a month and I do not have a body lift. I have mixed thoughts on getting one, but admittedly I am leaning towards doing a 1.25 and a 1 in mml.

The folks at ECGS said that the BDS would not settle and would maintain its "lift" I do know that they "tuned" the lift to my 8.8 axle, hard top, and future plans of heavy bumpers.

I know with a full tank of gas (19 gal) and full size 33 spare it does not settle at all, but once my 2 year old son goes in the back and my 6' 130 # wife goes in the pass seat the passenger rear drops 1/2 inch or so. I have not had her measure to see if the driver side drops any when I am in, (err I should say how much it settles because I weigh in at 195 pounds) so I would guess the drivers side drops about the same...

All in all I am extremely happy with my Jeep, just wish I could get the 19 MPG so many here claim to get with 33's...

Awesome. I have an LJ with hardtop so my Jeep is slightly heavier. I have on order the BDS 3" lift as well. Yeah, you should do the 1.25BL and 1" MML. It doesn't hurt to get some extra clearance. Your measurement seem to be right on 6 3/4 rear and 6 1/4 front. You always want to be slightly higher in the rear for passengers to enter vehicle in the back seat or extra weight in the trunk. Im debating weather or not to add 3/4 coil spacers to the front and rear for a little extra room between my tire and fender flares.

When I got the OME lift almost 2 years ago the "kit" ws supposed to be a (2"-2.5") lift I got closer to 3 inches here is another pic of LIL RED BEFORE the 33's and Bushwakers ....it is on 31" BFGs maybe this will help see where I was to what I got now? Added the 33"s and JKS BL MML and Bushwakers

Its an LJ so it makes the lift and tires look a little small in my opinion but they are 33 X 12.50 15 and 4" lift.
