Sahara TJ's with Fender Modifications

I have a green 01 Sahara with the stock fender flares. I'm looking into doing something with them, but I don't know what would look good. If you have a sahara and you've changed up your fenders in any way, post some pictures. I've been wondering if trimming the flares would look strange due to the fact that they are green.

I took off the OEM painted ones and bought some OEM black ones and cut them. The original Sahara ones would have looked like crap with my rock sliders and would have had to been cut.

Before the 1" BL I trimmed mine up 5/8" front and rear for a little extra room for the 33's on a stock suspension

If you decide to remove your stock green flares, I'm interested in purchasing them.

Looks great. What are the legal standings on the side marker lights?

That is a good question. I am not sure tho. I would say that would be a local law of some kind. I re mounted my side lights. Also something else to think about it the law about tires sticking out past the flares.

Its a no no in my area but cops never wite tickets for it.

Here is mine with the artificial bushcrackers. I like them but I'm going to replace them next year with some Poison spyder tube fenders.

Ya know the law thing is a good idea to think about. Here in NC I have had numerous Jeeps and ORV's that have been crazy modded. Never had a single question from a cop about any mods. I've been through plenty of check points and such. Admittedly NC seems really relaxed on 4x4's. One cop told me that as long as the tires are in good shape, all lights function properly, and it passes emissions in your county, life is good!

I haven't had any side markers or a 3rd brake light in years. My Jeep also throws a 30 foot rooster tail when it's raining and I've had state troopers drive right past me without batting an eye.

I understand its completely different in each state so I figured I'd throw in my experience.
