thanks. no there is nothing stock on this bumper except where it bolts on to. it's custom built. from 3/16 steel plate and DOM 1 3/4 tubing. i've made almost every thing on this even the 3/4 inch d-ring mounts which were a pain to make. the main bumper is all 1 piece no welds i had bent at a local fab shop.

It's not my intention to high-jack this thread in any way, but felt this question was best served here since it is discussing front bumpers.

Does anyone have any photos or feedback on the Barnes 4x4 front stubby bumper?

Jeep TJ Front Bumper, Stubby Steel

I really like it and it's priced well. Just looking for some feedback/info on it, and maybe how it acts with a front Anit-rock.

Thanks!

Right now, on sale for $339.99 uncoated. I leave them uncoated as I don't want any damage done to the finish during shipping....and some customers don't like powder coating, they want to paint them.

American made. 3/16" steel, 1" thick D-ring tabs, winch-ready, comes with a winch fairlead bracket, hardware included. pre-drilled with holes on outer ends for foglights, as well as the extra hole on the bottom to accept our steering box skid plate. The tube is 1.75" DOM .120 wall tubing with gussets. I can add some tabs on it for lights for an extra fee.

would you coat if I wanted it coated? I am assuming coating is not something I could do myself...

Sorry I didn't see the post. I can have it coated if you'd like. Its just not something I offer because of the possibility of UPS screwing up the finish, and that a lot of people like to coat it themselves.

I had thought of putting it as an option though....what color would you want? Satin black?

I have nothing but good things to say for the barnes bumper. I got mine a few weeks ago and painted and installed it today. I used the same rattle bed liner I did on my MC fenders to keep the finishes together. It installed with my AR today flawlessly. Don't mind my paint job as I admittedly hate painting.

Great bumper ... Think Poison Spyder makes this for TJs as well. Every time I see that bumper, I like it more!

Rokmen Mercenary Bumper, made in 'Murica. Possible to customize with 4 options. Base, w/ tube, w/ fairlead, w/ extra set of mounts for lights or any combo of these. I chose the tube and fairlead as it already has mounts for 2 lights by default. It comes with no paint/coat on it so you can color it any way you choose. I used spray bedliner and LOVED the way it turned out. This baby ran me about $430 before shipping and tax, but it was worth every penny! I can't say enough positive things about the quality of this bumper, it just doesn't compare to anything. I have people always stopping me and asking me about it. The same can be said about the quality of the service from the people at Rokmen. I would gladly do business with them in the future! I HIGHLY recommend this bumper.

For someone not using there Jeep for rock crawling or heavy off road use and wants a cheaper alternative. I found this at Auto Anything for about $400 + shipping and it bolts to stock locations.
