TEAL (bright jade satin glow) TJ OWNERS UNITE!!!!!!!

this will be the OFFICIAL teal tj owners thread. i have only seen one other teal tj in person besides my own, and there are about 300 tjs in my immediate area.

next time i see the guy im gonna try to stop him and tell him about this thread.

post as many pics of your teal tj as youd like.. because as you know. its hard as hell to find pics of teal tjs online!

i will post some of mine later today when i pull it out of the garage.

Teal TJ's Rule

Well count me in. I don't have one picture of my Jeep but I'll take some soon. I just got my Teal baby about 2 weeks ago. I love it so far. I haven't seen any other Teal jeeps out and about. Does anyone know how many years Jeep used this color, or how many were produced over all in Bright Jade Satin? I really like the color. My last three Jeeps were 1948 CJ 3A was rustolum red, my 72 CJ-5 was Bronco Orange, good color for hunting and my 75 CJ-5 was a horrible tan and postal jeep top in white. The teal is much prettier.

There are a few Teal TJ's on the forum. I'm sure they'll post up within the next few days.

Also a heads up. This thread my be moved to the "Pictures Forum" section of the forum. Due to being a picture subject thread.

Merry Christmas.

yeah i got mine last week. the color is definately unique.

ive only seen one other one this color.

i was leary about the color when i started talking to the seller, but after seeing the teal one here on post i knew it was the ONE.

everyone either has a black or a red jeep... including me (my 91 is red). you might see a yellow now and then.. or a blue..

but you never see a Teal J.

anyways.. ill post some pics here in a few hours. its dirty from driving it home in a blizzard.. so im not going to get too crazy with the pics.. but i will take a few!

pics from the craigslist ad from when i bought it.

the weather got nice enough today (sunny 33F lol..) i took the rear windows off and drove it up to the gas station to get some stuff.

here it is with my other jeep, and my wifes beloved intrepid ES with black steelies and blizzaks.

well... hmm...

this is what im thinking for your orange situation..

i searched google for pics of my teal.. couldnt find much at all. just a few pics of this teal truck some 4x4 mag made.

so if you do start an orange jeep thread.. maybe someone searching google image will find it and youll slowly find others with oranges.

who knows?

i think its worth a shot.. i mean it cant hurt lol.

this post is sponsored by sam adams boston lager. not just bitterness.

Teal was only a '97 early '98 color... and not many made. I don't have an exact number because they really didn't keep that info. Although I'm sure its one of the fewest right next to Citron Green.

theres 6 jeeps just in my parking lot at work. i see between 10 and 15 jeeps a day here on drum , and i probably only drive 10 miles a day

Lovely Teal

Thanks I wondered. I know some of the car companies keep records of how many of a certain model and colors were sold. Less than 2 years is pretty limited.

Yeah, seeing as there were millions of TJ's produced in just a few years, kinda hard to keep track of that stuff. The Cherokee was also available in this color(or one really close to it) as I've seen 2 driving around my town with them. And actually one other Teal TJ.

And to stay on topic.

My wife warned me. I didn't listen. It took two jeeps to pull me out.
I called it "Commando Teal!"

Here's mine

I always thought it was a little girly...this spring I'm gonna rattle can her flat olive. I've seen 1 other this color and by the shocked look on his face I could tell he'd never seen one either(we live in the country)

Here's mine....bought it about 4 years ago. Was pretty unmolested then, but I've been busy last couple years leaving teal wrangler paint all over the rocks out here.....rubicon, San Diego, wine country, Nevada now...
