Well, I hate posting pics after Dookey, but I'll go ahead and do it. I miss seeing pics of that beast. Hopefully your next rig will be done soon, Andy.

Here's some more current pics of my heap.

I'm sorry for the crappy pics. I'll try to get some better ones posted sometime this weekend.

It was easy. And cheap. When I was rolling the 4 banger from hell it was alright cause I never got any of the wheel hop. I used stock XJ leaf springs and reversed them. So I had no money in the stretch. I think the leaf springs work fine. I tried it when I went crazy and the V8 really showed the weakness of the leaf springs in wheel hop. I had most of the parts bought to 4 link the rear right before I sold it.

I still have yet to wheel a dedicated 4 link front and rear. I didn't hold back on my current jeep. 4 link front and 4 link rear with ORIs. I hope it turns out bad ass.

Why stretch the wheelbase at all? What are the advantages?

It seems like stretching the WB would make it harder to wheel in tight quarters. I like my Jeep's near zero turning radius.

i guess depending on where you wheel, the extra stability is worth the sacrificed turning radius.

Thanks, bud. I know that it's almost blasphemy to say that I hate the way the Metalcloak tube fenders look, but I really hate those things. There are a bunch of people here on the forum that love them, but I can't stand the way they look. So I got the Genrights and I love them. They're the G3, based on their boulder series. Minimal fender, but still a flare. I'm really happy with them. Genright's directions are OK, but they could be better. The rears were made here locally by a fabricator buddy who is also going to do some cage work for me either this winter or next spring. They're super beefy and will allow me plenty of room for going up in tire size. They make my 33's look little.

It will. And you're going to have to mount a rearward facing winch so you can pull the rest of us up the obstacle you just passed.

Give my compliments to the fabricator. He or she did an excellent job at matching the front fenders.

First pics of the new [to me] Khaki TJ.

Note the detail in the pic by the lake. Hanging in the tree is a substantially cupped suspension device, apparently left from either an entertaining party, or to warn others away. Hard to know which.

Thanks,

With the exception of the passenger unlock toggle not togglling to unlock, and I have not yet got the PO's smoke smell out it is as new. I can find no other issues whatsoever [I am sure that will change as time goes on].

I went to pick up the hardtop yesterday and found all sorts of fun things to shoot and different weather from Kentucky to SE Ohio.

I think the jeep is wanting to be called Shadow. The hint was pretty clear. Time will tell.

Barrie has one of those as well. They look good, but I wish you couldn't see the grille color in the slots when viewed from an angle. Oh well, still looks great!
