Looks like Clayton stuff? Any more pics, from underneath and showing more of the rear. I really like the height and length.

I actually wanted to get some of the new "soundpods" but didn't want to spend the $80 on them.

I took the cover off the soundbar and pretty much cut out the space where the dome light was but left the flat piece of metal along the top. Then I just slide the cover back over it and bolted it back up. It is flimsy in the middle since I cut out the support but it doesn't matter because it bolts to both C-pillars and my rear spreaders support the middle of it.

Why not just use the stock mounting location?

I'm asking about the section that is cut out around the center noid. And not so much about the metal cutting. I'm more concerned about the fabric used to clean it up.

Probably because I used 2x2x.25" wall square tubing just like clayton.
Not many finished pics but here is one of the rear during mockup:

Here is one of the front:

I have more mockup pictures just dont' know what you are looking for.

My bad i thought the aftermarket rolbar replaced the stock one.. I think you can take off the fabric and then cut the metal of the bar and slip it back on cant you?

That works - THANKS!

...just giving me more ideas on the "upgrade" path

BTW - you plan on keeping that Anti-Rock? Going with coil-overs or regular gas shocks?

I am definitely keeping the antirock. I am running coil springs so I just got some regular twin tube shocks.

Cool - I'm leaning in the 3-link front direction as well. Did you buy a mounting kit and make the arms yourself? Looks like you made a custom track bar and bracket aswell?

In a 3 Link system the top or the bottom control arms are removed right and are replaced by the triangular 3rd link?

Everything on my Jeep was custom made (control arms, brackets, steering, panhard bar, trusses, etc). I bought the steel for everything and made it all but I bought the joints of course.

Here is what my rear frame brackets look like. The front is the same except only on 1 side.

You would not want to remove either of the lowers to setup your 3 link in the front. The axle will wrap in a manner that will cause everything else to fail. Typically the create a front 3 link it will be built minus the passenger side upper.

LOL I hate my local lying dealer.. i'd rather go mudding and then bring it over for an oil change. They said my warranty doesnt cover water pump or radiator when its clearly marked in the 3k 3 months warranty papers!!! I went to the dealer 50miles away that i got my rig from.. they are like wtf are they even talking about, its clearly marked there, they just dont feel like messing around with it. btw that dealer 50 miles away fixed it as it said in the warranty.

in my TJ operating manual i´ve read that things that are damaged while offroadng will not be replaced on warranty.
that´s why my dealer doesn´t have to know what things i do with my jeep.

Oh man you gotta quit saying that. I think his head is getting bigger by the minute. Especially now that his rig rolls on its own power after a year and a half.

I think this is stuid. If you are going to call it trail rated, and encourage teh use of these vehicles offroad, the warranty should still cover off road use.
MItsubishi did that with the Evos... They would check te internet for posted 1/4 mile times so they could void that persons warranty for racing.

Nah. It's the locals that do it for me. Last night I went over to a buddy's house. Dude came out and said, "That looks like a jeep on steroids!" And went back into his house to get his camera.

same goes for jeeps. I see tons of them cruisin around and have never been wheeled. However, my insurance covers me if I'm wheelin.

i also have a special offroading insurance that would pay for damage that isn´t covered by the warranty.

but it´s a bit strange to sell jeeps with a trail rated logo on them and show commercials with jeeps off the road and then the warranty says that damages during offroading are not covered.

They should all take a lesson from Subaru. Buying a new STi includes a 1 year membership to SCCA and they encourage the use of their cars for road track and rally racing.

kind of ran around town with a poor man's bikini top! I found it helps my daughter in the backseat with the wind.....
