pollux.troy03-awesome ride. just wondering what type of mirrors you have?

Rawkon-i have to say your jeep and the pics you take are definitely some of my favorite in this thread.

I just got my jeep and hope one day it looks as good as most of the jeeps in this thread

Here's my 98 TJ bought August 2009 with 103K miles. Spent 6 months looking at Craig's List and found it in my home town and it was well taken care of. It's a TJ Sport with air, ps & auto which is just what I was looking for.
I Built new bumpers and added 10k winch. Bumper was built from 4" x 3/16" square tubing. Plasma'd the angles and reinforced and closed in the bottom of the bumper where I plasma'd the wings. Then used 1 1/2 x 1/4" stainless bar stock to wrap from original bolt connections on top and bottom so it can be removed. It was a fun project and it's strong.

Here's the back bumper I built for the TJ. It also is 4"x3/16" steel and did the same thing by copying the original bumper to frame attachment. I bought just the 2" trailer receiver and chalked the 2" square in the middle of the bumper as the picture shows, mounted it through the square hole and welded it on front and back. Don't know what will ever be towed with it, but it's there.

After the bumpers and winch I decided to buy a 2" lift kit for "Skittles" (that's what my wife named her) and also replaced front brakes and rotors. One rotor was bad so I decided to replace both rotors and brakes while we had her wheels off instead of turning them.
The wheels & tires are new as I bought all 5 on Craigs List for $400 from a guy who had tricked out his new Jeep with lifts and larger tires and wheels. I have the original rims & tires from the TJ so will put new 31 x 10.5 tires which will be OK for where I will be driving her.

Here's our 08 Sahara 4dr and it's a great machine. One photo shows the original bumper and the last one shows the bumper I built and added an 8K winch and lights. It also is made from 4" x 3/16 tubing and used a plasma and band saw to make the cuts. I cut rectangular holes in the bottom of the tubing with the plasma torch so we could bolt to the original bolt pattern of the Jeep. We have a 155 mile drive from our home in Stockton to our cabin in La Porte (CA) and this is the one that gets us there snow or no snow. This has been a fun project learning how to post the pics and hope I didn't bore you with them.

"tie wrap"? I posted that pic at 1:30 a.m. today after learning to post pics and I was cross-eyed. I couldn't figure what tie wrap you were talking about until I examined it more closely. I hope it's not holding the bumper on.
Actually it was there to run light wires through when I wired in the lights.

I'm guessing she was talking about either the white zip tie hanging underneath, or the bungee holding your D-rings. If it was the bungee, I'm guessing it is holding the D-rings from hitting the bumper?

SWEET BUILD, by the way. It looks very clean, and very well done! Nice looking Jeep overall.

Mark, wrong forum, but you have to regear both axles.

And New2Jeep, I meant the zip tie, and really, I was just giving him a little crap, cause I'm kinda ornery like that....
