They did. And unfortunately, I saw it. Wanted to take a bath with a toaster after that movie. I felt violated. I'm talking about the 4th F&F movie....

Wouldn't you like to know.

Well, here is the short list.

Cummins 5.9L 6BT
SM465 4 Speed
NP241 or Atlas transfer case
Dana 60 front 4.56 and ARB
Dana 70 rear 4.56 and ARB
Custom 4 link with 100"+ wheel base.
Gen-Right armor all around with 6" tube fenders
and a whole lot more

I already have the engine, NP241 t-case, and axles.

It's going to take a bit more than flattery to get me to do up another dash. I was planning on leaving this dash semi unmolested. I was going to put in a Tuffy glove box and add some switch panels but I don't anticipate doing another dash like the YJ had. That was a butt load of work.

As for the theme. I've kind of half though of going Cat again but I don't know. I've already done it once. Although that huge diesel engine I've got would definitely enhance the theme. I've got a snow plow sittin in storage too. LOL.

Just looked up some info,970 to 1000 lbs peak weight.I also read that it was a common engine for ag use in case machinery.Hows about a 40's themed case in orange, with the eagle and globe insignias?I'll try to find a pic of it.My buddy has a 40's dc that is all redone and it is sharp as hell.

Not a big fan of Case but lets see the pics. I've also though about just going all black with dark tinted windows and smoked lights. Well I need to go to bed. Night Baja.

Yay, lift installed! Before & After

First of all, thanks for all of the helpful info and suggestions I got when I was deciding what to do with my Jeep. These forums are a huge wealth of information and made everything a whole lot easier.

A couple of friends and I started on Thursday with the BL and MML. It took a little longer than expected, but we finally managed to get it all done between the beer breaks. Was going to install the XRC rock sliders at the same time as the BL, but ran into a couple issues that I didn't really feel like dealing with at the time so left the sliders to install another day. Finished the day off with some sturgeon fishing.

Friday we installed the lift, which consisted of springs, shocks, front/rear adj. trackbars, front swaybar disconnects, rear adj. swaybar endlinks. Finished that up in the evening, so figured I would get the bumpers on too. Front went on easily, but the rear took several hours due to 4 bolts that are between the gas tank and rear frame cross-member. Very tight space in there, but after a few hours and several beers they were in!

Saturday I started to install the tire carrier, but after unpacking it and getting everything ready I found that the sleeve that goes on over the large pivot pin was damaged and wouldn't slide over the pin. That will get installed after I take it into a shop to get it fixed. That afternoon I got the tires/wheels installed, but didn't get an alignment done because they were already booked up and there was no time before closing.

I had some pretty severe death wobble at around 45mph+ on the way to the tire shop, so brought it home and parked it for the night. Today I did a home alignment, re-centered the steering wheel, and installed the new speedo gear. Also checked the bolts and found that the jam nut on the front adj trackbar was loose. Tightened it and took it for a test drive, and got no death wobble at all.

So here's some pics of before and after. I'm really happy with the results so far, and had a great time getting it all put together.

Thanks guys, for the lift I went with the ultimate kit from DPG offroad. It includes 2.5" OME springs, OME shocks, JKS 1.25"BL, JKS adj trackbars, JKS quicker disconnects, JKS adj rear swaybar end links. The guys over at DPG were awesome to deal with, very helpful and full of information.
