Trim Restorer

Just got some Turtle Wax Trim Restorer and so far it is working great! Anyone else restore their flares (etc.)?

Unfortunately that's stuff works ok until the first big soaking rain and or a few washes.... I detail cars and it's a on going problem.

Go head and tape everything off and get the krylon Fusion plastic trim paint at Walmart. Give everything a couple of coats and you'll be good for several years. I tried the wipe on plastic restore stuff and it does look good for a bit, but I've found the paint to last a lot longer. Also, not sure if you have the problem, but Pentrol on your hardtop is like a miracle drug for faded hard tops.

I agree with the Krylon Fusion, I had a ZJ that had really bad fade on the plastics. Taped it off and gave it 2 coats of Krylon Fusion, looked great and held up awesome.

When I had fender flares, I took them off and sprayed them with SEM trim black, perfect oem like finish.

Just recently I tried "wipe new" on my wife's car. It came out really good surprisingly. We'll see how long that lasts.
