I'm glad today's fender thread lead me over here; great post on fender trimming. super informational and thorough. Looks like a mod I should consider soon!

Just did mine after work today. Used electrical tape to define the cut and a box cutter with removable blades. I lent out my file, so it still looks a bit jagged.

The Dremel slings burning balls of black plastic all over you.I found that judicial usage of painter's tape and a utility knife works great-just go slow and take your time.I yielded excellent results that way,and tried to post pics. For some reason,I no longer can post pics.It ceased to operate.Somewhere on this forum, there is a post by me that links to another well-known Jeep forum, upon which I never have any trouble posting pics.

You guys all did a great job with your flares. I considered doing it to mine, but opted for steel tube fenders for the front and steel tube flares for the rear.

That's a great, no-cost mod to help stuff more tire or allow more uptravel with your current tires.

Thanks for posting.
