What to do, What to do? ---pics inside---

I know this has been asked before and has been played out but here goes. I have a tj 4.0 and need help choosing what to do next. Like always money is tight especially around the holidays but i dont know what to get. I was given about 350.00 from my wife to get something for the heep. Keep in mind i will never go over 33 inch tires and will never get to crazy with my baby. I do go out on the trail about 3 or 4 times a month, nothing to difficult though. My goal is to get about 3-4 inches of lift, 33's, 410 gears and a locker in the front with open rear until i can upgrade the 35 to d44 years from now. But for the time being something small to keep me interested.

Choices.....
1- front and rear bumpers from nates 4x4. front with clevis mounts, rear the same with 2 inch reciever.
2- a 2 inch coil lift of some sort to make room for my 31's

here's a few pics so you can see what i have now.

any other suggestions would be great thanks guys....

You could look at a 1" body lift and a tummy tuck. you would gain some ground clearance and fit 31" tires.

It's not that big a deal to pop the diff cover off. Besides, it's always nice to have fresh fluids in there!

do some simple things. get a highlift. mount it some where. install a set of limb risers. etc.

It's stock right now as far as suspension right? You can get the 2" springs and new shocks, it would help, but I'd also get some sway bar disconnects for the front. But then you might need new bumpstop extensions.

first question is when you go wheeling do you go wiht toher ppl, if not what good wil tow hooks and things on the bumper do?
second if you dont plan on hitting trees why not get these
http://www.quadratec.com/products/12107_02.htm

second
sway bar disonnects

third
1" BL and 1" mml
then later you can get a 3" lift for the 33's and not have to worry about driveline and stuff either

that should still be only around 300
so the other 50 can go towards brackets for your mirrors when you go no doors, or other small accessories

then later you can get a 3" lift, tummy tuck, locker, 33's, gears and have an AMAZING rig thats still very driveable!

they do but he wants more clearance for them

how about a 2 or 3" rustys coil lift kit to make the clearance for your planned 33s?

also i wouldn't recommend the belly up unless you know you're gonna be getting sye and cv..

Well if i do 2 inch coils i can always go with a 1 inch spacer or a 1 inch body lift to fit 33's until i can get a better lift kit right? And the whole time i can run 33's. thanks so much for the input guys...

3" lift is more than 350.. but yeah if you're willing to go a bit over the money you have i'd just recommend getting 3" spring lift but thats about 460 or so..

from what i know the rustys kit rides softer than stock so i think your wife might like that idea too

also you say untill you can get a better lift kit.. i donno man honestly why not do it just once instead of putting money into something you'll tak eoff? you can do a bl now that will not need to be removed if you add better coils so thats a good option but if you want something that will make a difference i'd recomend some kind of coil lift.

the funny part is i have 6" lift on my rig now and although i have a foot of space between my tires and my flares i just feel like i wanna go bigger lol

my whole goal is to stay small and capable. I have 31's on for now and they have 3/4 life left. I will not be going to 33's for some time. I might even buy another set of 31's before the 33's. I also want to regear to 4.10's before 33's and do a locker in the front. At least thats what i thought i was supposed to do. I have 3.07 gears now and it blows. I want to do a 2 inch coil lift now for the time being until i get 33's. (probably 2 years from now). All im trying to decide on is if i want to get a 2 inch coil lift or do bumpers which would help me with pulling or towing. Thanks for the input Triple....also wont a 3 inch lift look funny with my pizza cutters!!

With 4766 or so members on this forum, I think each member should send Triple 1 dollar and then he could go and get bigger tires and wheels. And we would never have to here about his small tires anymore. And any money left over he can use on whatever he wants as compensation for the abuse he has recieved for having 6 inchs and little tires.
