So you can do one for the shifter and the 4wd? It's for a 91 YJ. I'm digging the multicam. How much for both shipped?

How do the JK shift knobs get attached? Also, does anyone know roughly if there's a big difference in weight between the OEM knob and these? I have a rattle coming from my shifter at times and I'm thinking a heavier shift knob might amplify that? Is that a legitimate concern?

the stock plastic shifter is removed by using a flat tip screwdriver, pop the chrome plastic ring down on the bottom, the chrome plastic ring on the top up and off. Then about a 1/8 turn and steady pull upwards on the shifter will pop it off. Hold your head to the side and if you wear glasses you may want to take them off. Lol the pool ball shifter is drilled and the pushed onto the shifter, a rubber mallet comes in handy to seat them all the way on. I also recommend a dab of epoxy or JB weld to lessen the likelihood of theft. Many don't use epoxy or JB weld so it certainly is not a must. As far as the "rattle" you describe, it could very well be the plastic shifter itself. I don't have a JK but have heard quite a few owners talk about the shifter having a rattle.

Yeah I thought of adding a bit of epoxy, haven't had any trouble with it coming loose but might as well be on the safe side as far as theft deterrence might go.

Looks great and the pool ball definitely provides a more comfortable grip vs the stock shift knob shape.

I finally took pics to add but the wranglerforum iphone app suddenly won't allow me to post them. I'd use it more often but it just never seems to be working properly. Makes me miss the cherokeeforum app.

Thanks for the picture uploads! Looks great!! The epoxy/JB weld recommendation is for JK Shifters not for TJ and YJ as ours screw on and can have a lock nut put on form the bottom side.

Yes I did use your ideas about the locknut and shrink tubing which worked great. But I was thinking of using just the slightest amount of superglue or epoxy to provide a seal that would have to be 'broken' with some force.

Probably will just leave it be though since it seems fine for now. I just remember the pool ball shiftknob in my last Jeep would come loose only during the most critical downshifts lol
