Custom shift boots - $20

Greetings everyone!

So, after I completed my interior paint-job makeover on my 97 TJ, I was thinking how my old, accordion style shift boot really stood out - in a bad way!

So, with the help of the wife, I whipped up a brand new boot, made out of marine-grade vinyl (=waterproof) with some cool blue accent stitching, to match my new interior.

A couple of you guys had some nice comments to say and even asked about ordering one for yourself...so, here we are - Fett Customs is born!

Take a look at the pics below to see what it looks like. Cost is $20 with FREE shipping.

It's a fun, easy way to customize your TJ - especially all you guys who did a custom paint job for your dash, like I did.

Post here or PM or email with questions - fettcustoms@gmail.com and thanks for everyone who's ordered so far!

Sarge - Yes...and no. I'll explain...

RealTree doesn't come in vinyl. The closest comparable thing I could find is outdoor-grade 500 Denier Cordura. It's waterproof with excellent tear strength and is very abrasion resistant (according to the manufacturer)...

In the vinyl area, we have a couple of options...

Hidden Creek Camo:

Or New Forest Camo:

All look to be pretty cool choices, just depends on if you want that leather-like look & feel for your shift boot, or if you're good with a more traditional fabric.

Also, camo print is super expensive vs plain black, so I'll have to up the price to $30 for this, if you want it. And if so, let me know if you want any contrast stitching - like hunters orange...

Thanks for asking!

Cool! Just let me know! I've got a few I'm working on right now, so I'd be happy to make you one when I'm finished.

I really like the look of these. I am also doing same colors in my Jeep as you are in yours. I like the black and blue but would like some kind of stich pattern instead of just the straight lines. I dont know just some kind of pattern. More blue in all that black.

Fett and Sarge need to team up. Fett makes the boots and Sarge makes the shifter knob.

The new boot uses the same plastic rectangular bracket that the regular stock accordion boot uses. You take out the bracket and the new boot fits snugly around it. You then snap it back into the console. Couldn't be easier.

Those look great Fett, I so want one. Money is tight right now and I spent more than I thought on my dash paint job. As soon as I can stretch it I will definitely be getting one. I am out of work, waiting for disability, wish I could figure out something like you did to make some side cash. I would love making something for Jeeps. [/rant] Anyway man that looks awesome keep it up.

Very interested, however, they seem just a tad long for my taste. Not to be picky and a pain, but could they possibly come two inches shorter? I'm interested in black with black stitching

i installed it up tonight as best as i could, and i have to say that it just looks perfect. totally completes my interior. didnt take very long at all to install, and fits perfect.

thanks a ton man! good luck selling more of these. totally worth it. (and beats the hell out of $60 for one from Redline)
