Cool JK 4-door PPT (Plastix Plus Trunk) - Secure Storage

If you are looking for a secure, but easily removable storage solution, give the PPT (Plastix Plus Trunk) a look! These are available for the 4 door JK's, either with (PPTJK4s) or without (PPTJK4) a factory subwoofer. This is a simple, 1 minute installation, that requires no tools, no modifications to your Jeep, and will stand up to whatever you, or mother nature, can throw at it. Every bit of the PPT is 100% Made in America, even down to the stainless steel screws used for the latches! The full details can be seen at the link below.

Wrangler JK 4 Door PPT (Secure Storage) - Plastix Plus

If you are curious about the strength or HDPE plastic, check out the video at the bottom of the page HERE

Retail price on these is $449, but Wrangler forum pricing will be $399 to help offset any shipping costs. To order, you have two options. Either call me, Justin, M-F 8a-5p central time, at 281-469-3451, or send me a PM with the following info:

Which model you want (PPTJK4 or PPTJK4s)
Name
Shipping Address (or can be picked up in Houston, Texas)
Payment type (either Paypal or CC)
E-mail address
Phone #

I will get you a shipping quote when I have your shipping address. Shipping is via UPS (to the USA only). This is a large item, so expect $60-85 shipping costs for most locations. Texas shipping addresses will be required to pay sales tax.

Please keep in mind that these are each made by hand as they are ordered. I am trying to keep 1 of each in stock, but for right now I am only making them on the weekends (boss is letting me use the shop sat/sun to make them), so it could be 2-3 weeks depending on the amount of orders I have. When you are ready to place your order, I will let you know how long it will be.

Looks sweet! Is there a reason why it does not go across the whole rear space?

The width was determined by the tie downs closest to the tailgate. Since the latches on the box use the existing tie downs to secure to the floor, I was limited by that.

However, due to this width, it seems a little easier to slide in the vehicle. The fist one I made for my Jeep required me to lift it up and over the tailgate to get it in there, since the top of the box was wider than the tailgate opening. Also, a big bonus for anyone paying for shipping, is that the box is within 1" of the linear size limit for UPS, before it becomes a "dimensional weight" item. This dropped shipping from about $130ish down to $70ish.

Question? Do you or would you build one of these to a customer's specs or would it be too costly? This one is too small for my needs but I really like the concept and the fact that it is plastic!

Hey Pokey, can I and do I build custom stuff? Absolutely, all day long. Is it going to be cost effective for you? Probably not (our custom weapons vaults range from $1500-3500+).

As far as size goes, the depth and height is regulated by the angled back seat, and the width is regulated by where the existing tie downs are that the box attaches to. Also, if it increases one inch in size, in any direction, the shipping costs double to over $100! So, changing the size creates more problems as far as securing it down goes.

I know this isn't the answer you were probably hoping for, but thanks for your interest!
