I've got a 92 YJ with 31 inch tires and I want to lift it soon. I'm on a tight budget so i'm most likely looking into the rough country lifts. my problem is I don't know if I should go with the 2.5 inch lift or 4. I feel like the 2.5 might not be enough and the 4 would be too much. would appreciate some pictures so I can compare the two.

added some pics so u can see what its like now.

If those are 31s, I see why you would want 33s.. it makes em look pretty small

When you get ready to buy, be sure to contact some of the vendors on this site and call RC directly. At the time, Ryan at RC gave me the best deal, but others have done as well with vendors.

I paid 440.00 shipped to my door on here via jeephut. Saved me from buying from rc.

I paid RC $405 shipped for the lift, then I upgraded the shocks and added a steering stabilizer and sway bar disconnects. $476 total shipped with the jeepforum 10% discount. ;)

I didn't check at the time, but I wonder what JeepAddOnsChris could sell it for if he sells RC lifts.

Ahh nice. I want to do some discos. How much they usually run for? Not trying to jack thread.

$30, and Ryan had no problem extending free shipping, but I will say that they fit together kinda loose and rattle a bit. Low price, compromised fit.

Not sure what the lift is.. It was already lifted when I got it. Tires are 35s.

Alright, i've decided, since 33s aren't an option in the near future, just trying to salvage what gas economy I have ill be keeping the 31s and getting the 2.5 lift cuz it looks proper, doesn't dwarf the tires. And probably a half inch lift set of boom shackles, thanks for the help guys.

So I think the trend is to put a 2 - 2.5" for 31's, and 4" for 33's. Plumber, do you like your RE?? They are on sale now at 4wd.com. Looks like a complete kit. Any issues?

Thats what the manufaturers recomend mostly so it's what people do.
There is lotsa ways to clear 33's with only a 2.5" lift though.

I hope to run 35-36's someday with only 2.5" SUA lift springs. :)

I have a 4cyl running 30's. I got the 2.5 rough country lift and it made a huge difference. one reason I later figured out is because your stock springs are sagging below what stock levels would be. Then you raise to stock then up the additional 2.5 inches. In short your Jeep will raise about 4 inches. Look at the thransfer case drop kit it is about $40. You will want this cause you will have some initial drive line vibrateion
Oh sorry I dont have a pic to post
