I'm currently running 33x12.5x15 on my '91 YJ with a 4" lift and am considering putting on a set of 31s I have but I'd have to swap the rims since the 31s are off my Toyota. Before I do this I'd like to see what 31s look like on a 4" lifted YJ. I'm planning a long road trip and I'm thinking the YJ may be more highway worthy with the 31s. I'm running the factory 4.11 gears and Its a 4 cylinder. I'm getting 18+ mpg now but of course its a dog on the highway. Anyone have photos of this combination?

Thanks, that's great info. I gotta go measure mine. What flares are those?

Airslot, that's interesting, mine with a Rough Country 4" lift is only 20" off the ground mid frame with 33" tires. Do you have a tummy tuck?

I'm gonna try to post some photos. I'm in the process now of breaking down the 31's from the Toyota wheels and mounting them on the original 15x7 Jeep wheels from another 91 YJ. I'll try to post before and after photos. Years ago when I lifted the 89 toyota 4x4 pickup it was supposed to be a 1.5" lift and it lifted it almost 4" but now after 400K more miles those springs (2nd set on that lift) are flat.
Zig500 great photos! thanks

Sorry I got the wrong photos here is what it looks like today. notice the gear oil smudge on the back of Walter where the Dana 35 was leaking. So I just had my mechanic install the Ford 8.8 LSD. Now I have great breaks!

Perk, that looks great. I have my 31s mounted on the 15x7 original rims for '89 to '95 wrangler and painted black. I got the rims off Craigslist. I'll put them on the Jeep tomorrow and post photos.

Well, what a mess. I got the 31s installed on the Jeep and took photos. Problem is the rims went on but after torquing down and trying to go it only went an inch or tow and binded up. So lesson learned is that I can't run standard factory original rims with the Ford 8.8. Now I have to break everything down again and install the 31s on the after market aluminum rims that the 33s are on. So much for the benefit of having two sets of tire/rims to swap out at will. I just don't want to spend the money for another set of rims. The pretty black originals are going on Craig's List. I'll list them here too. Someone may want them. Here is the photos with the 31s.
