I made the caps from new stock YJ oem flare extensions from quadratec. When I pulled the original oem units off, I wanted to keep the factory steps and full length splash guards, so I bought a left and right oem style front flare extension for the non-step up fender flare.

All you have to do is use the pass. side on the driver side and driver on pass. side. Measure, cut the curved end off, and drill a hole to push-pin the piece into the hole left on the outside stock extension. I also push-pinned the piece on the underside to the body itself. You end up wasting 3/4 of the flare extension, but that didn't bother me.

The flares are bushwacker flat styles...pricey but very happy with them. Nice coverage for 33's with 4 inch back spaced rims. They are sturdier than my wife's JK plastic stock fenders/flares.

Thanks for the info, my plan was actualy to do like you said and use the drivers side on pass. side and vise versa, just glad to know it works. You have a sweet ride.

Thanks, have owned this yj since 2003, and it was salvage. I rebuilt it, and it is R-titled, but I don't care. Not a spot of rust anywhere...thanks to it being from the South rather than here in PA...lol!

My Uncle has a bone stock 1993 that is color schemed like yours, but with a grey splash to go with the red. His is very clean, I found it for him and it was from the South also. Always like the red jeeps and green ones...Your's is a very nice rig to boot!
