My New YJ Pics. How about some ideas??

Alright guys here some pics of my 95 YJ 2.5/ 5-Speed. Alongside her is my gorgeous Passat that ive had for 5 years now.

Ok here the deal, i treat my jeep as a daily driver for work, shes pretty dependable so far. I did a full tune up and it runs fine, starts right up. The only mechanical problem is a leaking rack and pinion.

Anyway down the road i figured i would tear it apart, maybe drop a 350 or 427 if it fits but i would love some ideas on axles, trannies, and transfer cases if i were to do a swap like that.

Also some ideas on what i could do now for super cheap (i dont wanna put any more money into it since its just for work)

Thanks guys enjoy

for cheap u can do a lot give us some ideas of were u would like to see this rig go just a small lift or big lift crawler por mud truck all of it involves different things but as far as the v8 conversion go 350 with either a matching four speed or for auto 700r trans and the np205 transfer case but thats alot of work the only prob with the v8 conversion is cooling becouse of limited space can make cooling a issue for the motor

yeah any tips on how to fix up the ridicoulous holes by the feet on both the passenger and driver sides, next to the front fenders on both sides, and my horribly rotten driver floor pan?

honestly i never thought about offroading until i bought this thing 2 weeks ago. I'm not gonna be much of a crawler, more of just light trails, a lil mud, nothing really serious. I just like the idea of having a badass engine in the jeep. I def gotta have a manual trans to go with whatever it is.

PS anyone know the weigh on the YJ?

yeah the overdirve is nice for the long hauls but I'm partial to a four speed but i don't know the number of the tranny but just look in a mid ninteys Chevy for one but i dont know how well they hold up off road and while ur running around the junkyard for that pick ur self up a Taurus efan and try to get a three row rad and by built 350 what do u mean bored ported elaberate becouse the bigger the bore the warmer it will run and then u will enter the danger zone on the temp running it in ur jeep
