Pick n pull find

The local pick a part is having a half off day so I got 2 ford 8.8's with 4.10 and lsd's for $275. One for my Cherokee and the other to build up so I can swap out my current one

I want to add an eaton e-locker and install the c-clip eliminator kit and maybe 4.56 gear ratio.

Does anyone have experience with the e-locker? Is it a reliable locker?

It's a huge p.o.s. mine only lasted 6 months before the pins went.

ARB would be your best bet, Pricey but very reliable.

After debating, that might be my best option. I hit my gas tank skid with my current 8.8 at full flex by less than 1/4", and the OX cover sticks out even further.

I'm also considering selling my front rubicon dana 44 since I'm not a fan of the low pinion, smaller tubes, smaller axle shafts, and just simply a weak dana 44. I'll probably have my high pinion dana 44 I got from a 78 ford f150 narrowed so I can build that up too.

I'm getting an ARB, this project is on hold though since I bought an atlas transfer case with 5.0:1 low and twin sticks.

Planning on building this up to to replace my LP D44 in the front, then move the 44 to the xj. The 44 is already 4.10 to match the 8.8, and I can regear the 30 to whatever I want since it needs to be geared anyway.
