Not much snow but we have warnings out right now.
Weather Alerts

Northern Cook / Northern Lake, Southern Cook / North Shore, Cook County

Winter Weather Advisory issued December 02 at 4:51AM CST until December 04 at 6:00PM CST by NWS Duluth
Issued: Monday, Dec 02 at 04:51 am
Expires: Wednesday, Dec 04 at 06:00 pm
...SEVERAL ROUNDS OF SNOW THROUGH WEDNESDAY...
.AN APPROACHING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING INCREASING
MOISTURE...AND SEVERAL ROUNDS OF ACCUMULATING SNOW TO THE
NORTHLAND THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THE FIRST OF THESE ROUNDS OF SNOW
HAS ALREADY SPREAD INTO NORTHERN MINNESOTA EARLY THIS
MORNING...WITH MORE TO FOLLOW LATER THIS MORNING AS ANOTHER BAND
OF SNOW SPREADS INTO THE AREA. THERE IS MUCH UNCERTAINTY IN THE
AMOUNT OF SNOW EACH ROUND OF SNOW MAY BRING TO THE AREA.
HOWEVER...IF THE LATEST MODEL TRENDS CONTINUE...THERE MAY BE MORE
SNOW THAN CURRENTLY FORECAST FOR SOME AREAS. IN THIS CASE...AN
UPGRADE TO A WARNING FOR ALL OR A PORTION OF THE AREA MAY BE NEEDED.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING
TO 6 PM CST WEDNESDAY...
* LOCATION...NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MINNESOTA...EAST
CENTRAL MINNESOTA INTO THE ST. CROIX RIVER VALLEY.
* TIMING...AN INITIAL WAVE OF LIGHT SNOW THIS MORNING WILL
DIMINISH FOR A FEW HOURS THIS MORNING. THEN...THE SNOW WILL
INCREASE IN COVERAGE AGAIN LATER IN THE MORNING...BECOMING
WIDESPREAD BY THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ADDITIONAL BANDS OF
SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA TUESDAY AND TUESDAY
NIGHT...AND AGAIN WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6
INCHES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE NORTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR.
ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BE FOUND THROUGH WEDNESDAY.
TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS...FROM MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY...IN
EXCESS OF 12 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED.
* IMPACTS...EXPECT TRAVEL CONDITIONS TO DETERIORATE TODAY AND
TONIGHT. UNTREATED ROADS MAY BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS.
THIS WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

These are just a couple from Saturday.

I can hardly wait to play in the real snow!

Crazy bastards driving around with soft tops during the winter in Montana! I got a buddy in Great Falls. Montana winters are no joke.

Yea Great Falls area usually gets it good! The soft top stays pretty warm actually, unless there is a big wind...

Yeah I am jealous here in Philly. I used to live in CO, and also upstate NY where it snows 6 months out of every year. Now I am lucky if it snows good once every other year. We are due this year though, it has been 4 years since a decent storm.

Outside of Monroe, WA. Snow turned pretty concrete like during the end of the day. Also found a guy in a Subaru stuck in a frozen water crossing with a burned out clutch on our way down the trail. Good thing we found him and winched/towed him out, otherwise he would have had a very cold night (temp was in the teens).

Here are some more pics from today. Had a good time, and didn't break anything. The pic with all the crap on the front is how it sits in my driveway right now.

What kind of wheels are you running? I wasn't sure if I could fit 35s but it seems you have the 2.5 ome? Have any rubbing?

Wheels are just plain old black Pro Comp steels. Tires will rub at full stuff, but I am still running the factory bump stops. Still need to do some clearance checking and determine the proper bump stop length.

I am running OME 14F front springs and 37R rear springs with an OME extra leaf. Also a 1" Daystar body lift. No track bars or sway bars, daily drive it 50 miles each way and it drives like a coil sprung Jeep :-)

If you want to go off-roading take a Land Rover.
If you want to come back take a Jeep.

I lived in Mecklenburg NY for a while. I lived up there for 4 years. I used to go up to Pulaski all the time, and all over the state since I drove for work.

What rear end do you have in your jeep?

When the above pics were taken - it had an 8.8 in it that I installed back in 2001.

I now have a 14 bolt full floater from a Chevy 3500.

Nice wheels.. I'm looking to get the same ones.. No track/away bars huh? I just put the ome lift on my rig and I now have terrible bump steer.. I have no track bars but I'm still running the stock sway and links. I'm hoping upgraded sway links and front track bar will fix it.
