MCE Gen 2 3" Flat Fenders. A little pricey but they go on nicely and have a lifetime warranty.

Love it. I am going in a similar direction with my Jeep.

A military style brush guard, and some solid steel wheels painted OD would really set it off.
I did a military style brush guard on my ZR2 Blazer a couple years back with 1" L, and flat stock.

Very nice job!
I am curious about the paint used too, did you remove the original paint, etc.
but I really want to know is about the handles behind the doors.
What are they for?
Oh, and How high is it lifted?

Thanks, I'm envious.

Finally got around to doing some more work on the TJ. I finally stripped the interior and carpet and painted the tub inside. I also added the hoops on the rear corners. In the near future Ill be adding a ammo can center console to lock up the CCW and gas can on rear. I saw a few asking about the paint and its Rustolem camo OD green Flat. Flat paint is very forgiving and if you are careful its nearly impossible to mess up. If I were going to do it over I would remover the hood and paint it vertically to eliminate a lot of over spray and to allow the can to be held upright so it flows properly.

I couldn't find any steelies in my size so I settled for these American Racings for now. They look ok but maybe some day ill find some solid steel wheels in the correct size.

Thanks...

I used to paint cars for awhile so I'd say that I'm more than a novice at prep work but anyone can paint with rattle can flats and get decent results. I didnt remove the paint I only wet sanded all the panels to give the new paint a better chance to "bite" onto the old paint. Its been on for almost 2 years now and Ive gotten some "Tennessee pin striping" from the trail here and all I have to do is take the rattle can and hold it away and feather the new paint over scratches etc and once the paint dries you can never tell.

The handles serve no purpose actually only to help it mimic an old willys jeep. the handles were originally designed to help foot troops get a jeep unstuck if needed. It currently sits on a 2 in suspension lift with 33 inch tires on 16in wheels. I orig bought the BFG tires in 16 to go on the stock wheels and then when I decided I wanted steel wheels I had almost an impossible time finding solid steel wheels in a 5x4.5 in 16s. Since I already had the 16in tires and I was broke I was kind of forced into the American Racing route...

All the stencils and willys items were ordered from Willys Jeep Parts Specialists | Kaiser Willys Jeep Parts & Willys Restoration I still want to add a black out driving light to the drivers side fender along with a few other small mods..
