Pics of your military jeep!

Glad we have a spot for our Mil jeeps. Now let's see them! I'll just place these here :-)

1952 M38A1
No mods (except the lockout hubs) and it's still a little beast

Getting a little charge

That's so cool!

I'm still working on my Willys, probably be 6 - 9 months before it's on the road

I was checking out your restoration post, looks like your jeep will rock once you are done!
I did a major overhaul about 12 years ago on mine. Need to start doing some old rust repairs and maybe a ring job. My compression is boarder line. I do use the heck out of it though! Launched it off a sandune once when I was still in the active duty mil and shattered the transmission and transfer on a bolder lol. First geared it front wheel drive all the way home (all fluid leaked out on the bolder). Drive home was about 40 miles. She has never let me down for all the abuse I have given her.

They don't make 'em like that any more.

Bonezz......where did you get the gun mounted on the roof? I didn't think that could be done. That is way cool for a military ride.

My Browning is mounted to a real Softmount M92 on a ring mount turret off a real J8. I can't drive on the road like that. I only do it for shows. I'm trying to sell the turret now. If you google image jeep J8 you find photos of J8's with a weapon mounted on the roof. The turret on that jeep you see is mine.

Down in Florida half the world is carrying guns these days. You can even get a 'carry' permit at most sporting goods stores. I think having a machine gun mounted in the rear will definitely get the attention of all of the lunatics on the road and will end the discussion before it starts

Here's my 1942 MB. It's been in continuos service since 1957 that I know of. Under all that gray paint is Marine Corp. Green.

Only mods on it are Chrome gear shift knob and air cleaner. (For sped ) and a 1950's brake booster.
