Two weeks later I rolled off the lot with this 2011 JKU Sport. I was gonna spring for the '13 but I wanted the four door to help with cargo because I frequently go camping with friends and the two door was hard to fit all the gear in. There were a few other reasons as well, but for the sake of getting on with it...The rims and tires took 0 damage (luckily) so I was able to swap them out for the stock set before the ins company took position of the totaled one. The second pic is from the 2nd day of owning War Pig, I like it because it shows a nice comparison between tires and rims. My lift was back-ordered though so I had to wait a few weeks before I could put it on. Another thing worth mentioning is 4 Wheel Drive hardware was understanding of the situation and took the 2door soft top back (which I had bought way back in January) and replaced it with the 4 door version no problem, it just cost an extra $100.

So there you are, once again I am waiting for the snake and the US flags but I'm finally back to where I was in May. My friend talked me into getting a dark grey color scheme for the decals this time in place of the white so they would blend in a bit more "a bigger bad A** affect" in his words. I thought they might be a bit darker but I like how it turned out. I am also considering getting another small star to put over the fuel do but it would require cutting to use the door and I think that may cause it to wear real fast, we'll see.

It's going to be a slow process. I'm going to do what I can to it mechanically (it's been sitting for 8 years) until the money runs out, then I'll start on the body work.

Lick and stick . on a serious note just wipe the area with alcohol to get grime off it and that will help the adhesion.

Yeah I should have wet applied, I got bubbles in the center hood and passenger side hood decal. Plus the passenger side numbers are sagging so ill reorder and redo that side. But for now I need to get spray stencils from Home Depot and some white paint to spray the lettering on my bumper :-)

Not full blown military theme, but I themed my Jeep "Black Hawk" for a number of reasons. I wanted to represent the military somehow through the jeep and the mission of Mogadishu has always intrigued me by the immense courage and bravery our Soldiers shown during that mission and because of our strong bond to fight for the person standing beside us, 18 of our men where killed and not in vein. The mission proved how loyal and brave our soldiers are, and it's that courage they showed that moves me everyday, and enough to join the military when I'm ready, it's the least I can do in comparison to what our troops have done in the past and what they do each and everyday, I will always show my respect to the sacrifices those brave 18 men made and all the men and women that have served in the military.

Here's my CG JKU. The modifications are fairly modest for now. I chose the military theme to honor Jeep's beginnings and pay homage to the military. Plus, my favorite Jeep of all time is a flat-fendered Willys. Plus, my wife is a nurse at the VA Hospital where she has worked tirelessly to help Veterans, so I thought it was a good fit. The format of the decals is true to WWII thanks to Beasmaster's great info, except the numbers are my kid's birthdays since we are a total Jeepin family.

Haven't started mine just yet. I just bought a 2013 Commando Green JKU and will be doing a Marine Corps theme as I just got out of the Marine Corps today! Here's a before shot. I plan on doing decals, 2.5 inch lift (not sure on brand yet), and 33 inch tires. I put stock tubular running boards on it today since I got them off a friend at no cost. I'll do lights eventually too, and some military cargo on the cargo area.

Just bought mine. It's going a USMC theme. Day three doing a flex check and pinstriping it. I'm trying to decide if I want to take 1000 grit to it and dull the paint or leave it shiny.

Here's a pic after the decals went on. Less than three weeks since I bought the Jeep. So far all I've done was remove the factory decals, put a three inch stubby antennae on it, military decals, Smittybilt cargo pouches, and a locking gas cap. Next week or so, I'm throwing black wheels probably Cragars, 33 or 35 inch tires, not sure yet, and a 2.5 inch lift.
