I just bought the 2008 Sahara, and had my Pioneer stereo placed in my new jeep. Best Buy factory installers said in order for me to use the factory stereo system, I would need to purchase an "axxess digital interface" harness to plug into the factory amplifier. They said they could work around this- but reccomends plugging into factory so they don't need to cut any cables and void the electrical warranty from chrystler.

Anyway this Axxess harness was 120 bucks, and end result- i have to turn my pioneer mp3/cd player to max volume level to get beefy sound. Does anyone know why this factory amplifer in the 2008 jeeps do this to after market systems?

Also- does anyone have any thoughts about bypassing this factory amp, or installation of aftermarket stereos in genneral?
