I don't know of any 4x4 vid games. I play TFC and DoD. Though, one mod of TFC (I think) had jeeps and tanks you could drive. I saw it but didn't get to play it.

i gotta say that i found the best one i've ever played. it was called "test drive off road" and you could get a CJ or a TJ and you could pretty much climb impossible stuff. i didn't really want to rent it but my buddy convinced me so i did and its actually really cool. you get to climb HUGE hills and rocks. pretty fun.

Get the WII. I played whatever off road racing game they had it on at Gamestop the other day and probably would have bought the system for that one game. Well, that and F.E.A.R. but that's off topic.

I played an older game on xbox calles 4x4 evo 2. It was pretty cool. You can get a jeep or any other vehicle and do a lot of mods to it.

Cabela's off road adventure 1,2,3. Its not time attacks it's preatty much getting through deserts, mountains, open fields, sometimes roads, mud, all kinds of stuff nature has for you. Includes DAMAGE, dirt on truck, parts such as lifts, wheels, winch, and many many more, missions such as tracking for sum1 by following his tracks, following a compass, following maps etc, shooting/chasing down animals(#3). It's nuthing like 4x4 evo which is more like car racing.
http://www.cabelasgames.com/pc_games.html - they all include wrangler - check out screen shots
The 3 off-road games are the last 3 in the list - PC Games - i dont know if they ever made those for consoles
Off-Road Adventure
Off-Road Adventure 2
Off-Road Adventure 3

Guys! this one is the game you've been looking for! I didn't see too many people look at this thread after I posted, so I'm trying to make some noise here!!! I'm really getting into it now, rocks, little bit of water(wish there was more) totally free roam, and seriously technical!

I downloaded the demo for it and got all kinds of errors but the review sounds good.

Insane Offroad for the PC is hella fun ... different vehicles, buggies, trophy trucks, Mogs, built rigs, a lawnmower, lockers front and rear, some with rear steer, 6x6's .... each buggy has different specs and there are multiple configs for each buggy (each one handles differents ... green Zuk with Krawlers is unstoppable.)

awesome game. i played it for the entire 8 hour ride to and from paragon one weekend.

That video looks like the hill called "the wall" across the highway from buttercup, if it is, that's a fun set of hills to climb.
