730N in 2012 Sport S

So my shiny new Sport S JK is going to be delivered in a couple weeks. It's got the one-step-up from base radio with Sirius/XM, Uconnect, but no Infinity.

If I ask, can and will my dealer be able to order and install a new 730N, and if so will it have full functionality?

If he can't/won't, can I find a new 730N, either on ebay, or order one from somewhere (Mopar?) and install it myself with full functionality?

I know it'll be pricey. I prefer not to go with aftermarket.

If you are mechanically capable, I would suggest that you find the unit online and do the installation yourself. You will be able to save several hundred $$$$ this way. You will need a High Speed Can radio, do the install, then you will need to go to the dealer to have the vehicle flashed for the new radio. This process takes less than 1/2 hr to do, they will want to charge you about $100. Stand firm, let them know that it takes less than 1/2 hr to do and you'll be more than glad to pay $50.

Thanks for the answer!

The only problem I'm having is FINDING one. I want a 2012 model, haven't seen one in the few weeks I've been looking (ebay, craigslist, etc).

I can do the install myself if it's just a matter of screws and connectors.

What will the dealer charge, I wonder...

Any 730n radio will fit. The only difference might be a slightly older poi list for the nav. You can always pay for an upgrade disc for the nav to make it exactly like current models.
