95 Stock Radio Problems

My stock radio is no longer working. All of the fuses are intact and tested well. I did have to replace the 10v IOD fuse under the hood. I am not the original owner. The PO had an aftermarket radio in there, that was working, but then went out. That is when I replaced it with the factory one. My problem is: I have no idea if the radio I put in is even working. How can I test the radio? Thank y'all so much for your help!

*UPDATE* This morning, the radio "worked" I pressed the power button and turned up the volume and I heard one station. None of the other buttons worked and the display did not work. Does this point to one thing over another?

sounds flaky... any chance water is getting into it? Or got into it at one point in time? They should only have one power wire. You'd think it would be all power or none.

It is very flaky. I have no idea if this radio had water damage at one point or not. I know that since I have had it, there has been no water damage. Do you think it could be an issue with the ground wire? I am having problems with a tail light and have been told that is a grounding issue. Could this be related?

I had 2 95's. They both leaked on the radio. Water would come in below the windshield, where it folds. Fold windshield down, get a foam type strip with double sided tape. Place it in the windshield, bolt everything back together and put a hose to it. I used to watch the water come in under the dash. I could even get my hand above the deck, and feel the moisture.

Yeah, I fixed the moisture problem, which is what fried my last radio. I am still trying to undue all of the PO's wiring problems. At this point, I am just trying to isolate the issue.

*UPDATE* I rewired the ground cable and that seemed to work. The problem now is that the radio only works if you hold the power button on. As soon as you let go, the radio stops working. If it is not one thing, it is another.
