Alpine Reciever

Not even alpine tech support has an idea on this.

Turn on the unit and play the aux, sound comes out then cuts out. however, the sub is fine. switch modes to tuner, and no sound. switch again to cd and its fine. at first i thought it was a fuse, but all modes wouldn't work if a fuse was gone right? I've reset it and still nothing. then randomly it'll start working fine in aux or tuner mode. then the next thing you know it out again(aux and tuner) however, cd still works. I'm thinkin of just sending it in, however its gonna cost me +$100. should i just go with a cheaper marine reciever instead? like a $200 range sony, or something else?

Its a pretty powerful and nice reciever. i feel like i'd definitely be giving some quality up for something cheaper.
