Most of today's dual band radios have a remote head unit that atachs to a bracket. Push a latch and the pop off, then they snap back in. I have not seen that for the single banders.
For your existing radio, maybe you could cut slots to the holes in the mounting bracket so instead of removing the screws (hopefully they have knobs like most CB's do) you just loosen them and slid it out. Put a disconnet like Anderson Power Poles on the power wires.
It's slower than snapping off a faceplate, but cheaper than buying a new radio. Of course any excuse to buy a new toy is worth it.
