Amp

Installed my setup in a friends Jeep but he wants just a little more bass. What is a good option for an amp to drive a dual voice coil 1 ohm sub. Does not matter if it has rca or speaker level inputs. We can overcome that part.

I found this amp this morning KICKER 12PX200.1.

Anybody have experience with it? Looks to be exactly what I am looking for and very small to boot.

do a search on ebay for alpine MRV. lots of great (older) alpine amps for under $100. Best judge of power is the fuse size. you are looking for something that takes a 50 amp fuse. wattage ratios are pretty useless.

There is a MRV-1507 for sale right now...thats my choice!

The sub it would be powering is a DVC 1 ohm sub. That amp appears to be a 4 ohm amp stable down to 2 ohms, so would not be a good choice IMO to power this one sub.

That is the amp that Kicker recommends. With it being a 1 ohm speaker your choicies are limited.

Hit up the amazon used stuff. Just got a kicker DX250.1 for 65 with shipping as opposed to 150ish new. Just has a superficial scratch on top. Downside is I apparently don't know how to get the sub to make noise lol. Amp works fine though
