Amplifier Under Rear Seat?

Hello.

I wanted to install an amplifier under the front of my rear seat. But some minutes ago I saw that there is cross member under it. My old '99 TJ didn´t have that.

How can I fit an amplifier there? In the rear there isn´t enough room. Can I cut this cross member off and replace it with someting else that gives me more room for an amplifier?

Where else could I install an amplifier?

Please help me, I don´t know what to do..

I fit mine under there just fine, but how many watts is your amp? It needs roughly one inch of space on all sides, except for the bottom of course. Put the heat-sync as close to the front as possible so it can cool off.

Do you have a pic how you mounted your amp?

It is a 5-channel amp with 4x 75W RMS and 1x 200W RMS.
It looks like this and is 11.5" x 17" x 2" big:

I also bought a 8" subwoofer (200W RMS), two 5" 2-way speakers for the front (70W RMS) and two 6.5" koax speakers for the rear (80W RMS).

Mine fits (just) flat on the floor under and a little behind my driver seat.

I put mine under the rear seat and no wish I didn't. Cause now I can't use the jeep as a pickup truck causes it's in the way. I'm gonna someday move it onto the tailgate.

I did the same, mounted a planet audio 850 under the rear seat, fit perfectly under it and it's not too small of an amp, pushing two 10"s in the back downfired

i just drilled a hole through the tub well 4 and installed 4 nuts and bolts

I run with the top off all summer and I'm concerned about water on the amp. Everyone that mounted their amps under the fron seat are they monted to the seat or to the floor under the seat?
