Attaching a video recorder

For those of you using a video recorder on your wheeling trips, what do you attach it to your rig with? I have a Sony HD handheld that I was planning on using a RAM mount attached to my dash. I've seen attachments that go on the outside of the windshield, so I was curious as to what everybody was using.

Pics of your video setup would be GREAT!

I am not sure what your price range is...but I bought a GoPro a few weeks ago and it is awesome! You pretty much have unlimited mounting places with a GoPro...in, on, and under the jeep. The picture is great afterwards also. Not sure if this is what you are looking for...or can afford, but they are awesome little cameras.

Ditto on this, they use them in just about every offroad event or extreme sport or racing!

Ya basically. Or you can go to best buy and just get the camera you want and pick out the accessories u need. That is what I did. The cameras case came with two different backs. If I need it to be waterproof I put the solid back plate on, if I will stay dry there is a back plate with holes in the in it so the camera picks up more sound. So one camera will do everything, u just need whatever accessories you find necessary for the application.

Is there any kind of video recording that also does GPS tagging so you can map your adventures.
