Best hands free bluetooth device?

Has anyone found a really good hands free Bluetooth device for calls inside of a soft topped Rubicon? My Rube came with the 430N stereo, but no Uconnect? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Honestly? One of these:

Most vehicles are really bad for handsfree because of the amount of ambient noise, and the inability to place a microphone next to the mouth. Jeeps are especially bad because of the soft top, the relatively poor sound insulation and the large interior space. Headsets are cheaper, easier to install and easier to replace - you just have to actually turn the radio off yourself.

I've got the connect module for sale, only needs a dealer to flash it to work and a microphone.

Otherwise I agree with woan, get a jawbone earpiece or a throat mic.

Jawbone is decent, had good noise canceling technology which would be good for the jeep. I have found the ear pieces very uncomfy though. A bluetooth speaker might work well for you.

Another option is to use the aux in on the RES 130 with the headset. You can set the phone to use the headphone jack (out to radio) for listening and use the BT for the mic.

That way if you are using the phone for music, its cuts off during the call. :-)

THanks to all...I guess I should have clarified before my spanking... I was looking for something that went through the stereo so I'd have the sound going through the speakers. As for the ear piece, I'd prefer to stay away from those only because of the perception by my superiors due to my rank. They frown upon the earpieces because they look unprofessional for senior NCOs.

My experience with after market bluetooth systems has been uniformly garbage. Microphone placement seems to be more important than the system itself, but good luck finding a mic location that is unaffected by the ambient noise of the Jeep. I have mine at the top of the A pillar currently, it's still crap. I would suggest you buy a cheap one on the basis that an expensive one will still be no good.

Someone else may have a more positive experience than me.

Parrot makes a head unit that has 2 mic's for best noise cancelation, very responsive units running android but works with iPhones aswell. I u fortunately only played with one at future shop and didnt think to try making a call but it's the unit ill be getting, It comes with GPS too which I really want

Look up blueant commute. Its TOTALLY hands free. Works very well with iPhone android and decently with blackberry. Don't know how well it would work with the soft top. But works well in inhome environment.

I would definitely look at the Parrot devices. They have several different options to pick from. There's a ton of YouTube videos out there you can look at.
I've never messed with one, but after seeing one at CarToys yesterday, I've really started researching them. I'm surprised that I just have come across many discussions about them on these Jeep forums (yet).
Anyway, of all the options I've seen, Parrot seems to be the best option without buying a new head unit.
