Biggest sub center console in yj?

Just looking for ideas for a sub box being the center console pics are great and what are the max size subs that I can fit in a box between the seats would like to get 12" if I could? I had a bazooka tube but blew it up in 3days looking for good boom when I want it. I also thought about 2 10". What is the best set up? I already have a 5 channel alpine amp. Thanks.

For a YJ, the largest I've ever seen was a 10" in the center console without removing the console and building your own. I have heard of someone building a completely custom center console with fiberglass and a 13.5" JL. For the best center console, I would go with either a single 8 or a single 10. If you are handy with building fancy boxes, I would go with a single 10 or 12 inside the rear seat.

My jeep never had a center console in it. So I can pretty much build what I need I'm just looking for any kind of ideas and feedback. Why go with a single instead of a double?

go with a single 8". if you can fit it i suggest the Sundown Audio SD-2 8" its 500 watt rms, and puts out deep clean bass in a small package. a friend of mine has 2 in his car and it sounds like there are 2 12's back there.

It depends on the type of music that you want the subs for. If its hip hop, then I've read that 2-10" subs are best. If its not Hip Hop then a single sub will suffice. I have a Alpine amp too, the PDX-V9, and I have the trunk molded sub box with 2-10" MTX subs, 400RMS, and it sounds great with all music especially Hip Hop. It really brings "Maria, Maria" to life. I have the MTX Audio Thunderform(below picture). It's a little pricey and its for a TJ, but it thumps. It depends on what space you want to sacrifice for your subs. The trunk is best, I think. Check out these guys, they might give you ideas.

I also found this one, for a YJ, and it looks pretty awesome. And, it claims to be 400watts RMS.
Jeep speaker / subwoofer kit, Wrangler and CJ center console speaker box / kit

This is mine in my TJ, just the tan one instead of the black. But, the black looks rad, so I posted it instead. Not sure if it will fit a YJ though. Just another idea.

Thank you for the link I'll have to check into that. I can't put anything in the trunk tough.

when it comes to what you listen to a sealed box is best for rock and a ported is best for deeper frequencies found in rap and hip hop. a good 400-600wat rms will do the trick either way.

just pick a sub made for small enclosures, doesnt need to be a shallow mount.

I'm getting a 12in Rockford fosgate tomorrow from my cousin to see if I can make it work some how. I'm pretty positive that I can I did a few drawings tonight and I can get I max of 2 cubic feet so I think that I should be good but will experiment with it at a later date once I get it.

I got the 12in and it'll fit between the seats about 3in off of the floor facing downward. Does this setup sound ok?

I got the console made and sub in it. The sub is really old and only 200 watt max so it has great sound quality but by bazooka tube is louder and has more tone than the 12in Rockford fosgate. I think I'm going to swap it out for a kicker and mount Rockford fosgate on the front of console in stead of inside because it has good sound quality it's just not that loud.

Pics? I saw a really nice molded console/sub for a YJ.
They come loaded and unloaded. about 200 for console, and another 150 lock and loaded.
