Blue Tooth through car stereo...?

Can anybody out there make a strong recommendation for installing Blue Tooth through a car stereo unit in a Wrangler? I've never heard one that I liked due to background road noise etc.

its too loud in a jeep to try to talk to someone, all people here is what sounds like a broken speaker at a drive-through.

x2...
I have an Alpine radio with the Parrot Bluetooth adapter in my TJ. The mic is a noise cancellation mic, and Parrot is one of the best brands out there for BT stuff. Even with the mic mounted on the dash somewhat isolated from wind, it still doesn't work very well. I can hear the person on the other end, but they can't hear me well; if the top/doors are off, they can't hear anything. If my hardtop is on and the windows are up, it's tolerable, and people don't constantly yell "WHAT?! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" but how often do I have the hardtop and windows on?

I wonder how emergency service providers who drive jeeps work it for hands free?

Probably with a BT headset... those should still work well in the Jeep; they get an extra aid by using your skull as a microphone "amplifier"

I would hands down says its a good idea, but only if it's audio compatible as well. I have had my sony for over a year now and freakin' love it....now I say that 'cause I'm an audiophile who uses my iphone for audio through spotify, pandora, tune-in radio (my jeep won't pick up the AM sportstation here in dfw) and the bluetooth audio cannot be beat.

I figure your real question is about the phone quality. My headunit has a mic in the radio, as well as a separate mic which I didn't install 'cause whats the use. With my hardtop I can talk with a slightly higher voice and have a conversation, with the soft top it's more of a slight yell and with no top it's a full out scream if I'm going over 30 mph. Honestly I like the fact that when a call comes in it mutes my radio, even if I answer the phone itself which comes in handy.

Hope this helps.
