CB Problem

Hello,

First time poster here!

I bought and installed a Uniden Pro 510XL radio kit about a month ago. I get decent SWR readings (channel 1 is 1.8 and channel 40 is 2), but I cant seem to get good reception. I can sometimes here someone talking but can't understand a word of what they are saying. The only time I could here loud and clear was when I was talking to a buddy of mine about 20 feet away in his truck.

What could be the issue? Do I need lower SWR readings? HELP!!!

Thanks in advance.
