Question CB Question

I'm wanting to put a cb radio in my 2003 jeep. I'm trying not to take up a bunch of room. Where would be the best place to mount it? Pictures would help a lot.
Thanks

I installed a Cobra STX 75. All the controls are in the hand held unit while the box ( don't know what it's actually called ) is mounted behind the glovebox. I bought the extra 4' extension cable and routed the handheld line under the center console. I also made a mounting bracket for the hand unit that mount behind the center console of the dash. It is similar to a phone holder that you can find online, I just modified their idea. The pic shows the hand unit installed but was taken prior to tidying up the wiring.

the cb in the pics is a Uniden Pro510XL. that unit is great it is very small so it fits in tons of places and it doesn't take up much space.

That's a great radio as it is inexpensive, rugged, and reliable.

One more location that works very well is on the center rollbar hoop. It's out of the way, the speaker is near your ear, and the mic drops straight down so it can sit in a cup holder for easy access while wheeling. I had mine mounted like that for years as shown below before installing a rollcage.
