What are you planning on mounting in your trunk? The CB?

The CB and the antenna will be great. But I too am a bit confused about where exactly you plan to mount it.

sorry, i was a little confused myself. ordered the cobra 75 kit from northridge 4x4. comes with the cobra, the remote unit, an external speaker, 4' firestick, and coax. should be easy enough to install. going to mount the remote box behind the transfer case shifter. and have the mic connection by drilling a hole in the plastic. someone else on here did it and it looks clean. but anyhow, im thinking that with a 4' firestick there are going to be some height issues if i mount it anywhere but my bumper. correct?

Regarding Firestik, my 3' Firefly Firestik w/5" spring sticks about 8" above soft top on a drivers side taillight mount. A 4' Firestik would stick up 15" or more from same mount. Some taillights mounts are higher than mine. So, yes, if you don't want it that high you'd have to mount to bumper...or get a shorter antenna. My Antenna only cost $15. Maybe put the 4' Firestik on craigslist?

Don't recall any for the license plate, but there are several for the taillights. Check out Quadatec for ideas, then Google or check Amazon. Mine is a stainless drivers side taillight bracket by CFE Products. TeraFlex is another. They have them for either side.

Yep, but if the treaflex unit you order is backorded (like mine was) you can make your own. That's what I did.

I've got the spare tire carrier mount for the 4' Firestik II, and a custom mount over the rearview mirror for the Cobra 29 LX LE. Works well for me there -- the radio is high up enough to be out of the way, but far enough forward that I can see the display and manipulate the controls.
