Cobra I9 Ultra III Compact

I just bought this one a couple days ago and though I've seen good things about it I was told by a local CB radio specialist store that I will regret it on the trail. That it only has 2 watts instead f 4 even though the package says 4. Any other opinions on this?

Who says it's only 2W. The store expert? Read the specs inside the box.
You should have no problem on the trail if you are setup properly with a decent antanna system.

Sparky: The "expert" at the CB Store. And it's only going to be used for the trail where everyone is in close range and no where else.

Generally CB store experts, are not.
For the trail with a decent antenna, you are good to go.

got one right here and it works more than fine on the trail. I have picked up and talked to people after we leave who are 3 and 4 miles away. And it has a PA function, which you are not getting in a Cobra 75. I run a 3 ft fire stick with a teraflex antenna mount on my stock tire carrier.
