code help

I am sure it is on here somewhere, just don't have the time to sit here and search but my check engine light came on for the first time on my 05 TJ. Is there a way I can check what the code is myself without having to pay someone and take it somewhere? Thanks in advance for yalls help.

or you can turn the to the on position (not start), then off, repeat this 3 times in 5 seconds and the codes should display on your odometer.. saves you a trip to autozone

I have a bluetooth OBDII sensor I got off amazon for $20 and I sync that with the android app Torque. so far it works well, I have checked and cleared the codes several times, and can pull raw data live while driving.
