Connecting coax to cb antenna?

So I got a cb and the antenna from quadratec.

I got everything installed and the antennta mounted but for the life if me I cannot figure out how you are supposed to mount the coax and the antenna together.

Since I had to get it to work in a hurry I just clamped the coax to the antenna mount. I tested it with the cb signal tester and all signals actually looked to be good. But this feels like such a hack job install now.

I feel like I am missing something, like I need to buy something else. I took a look around radio shack and didn't have much luck.

I would appreciate any help here..

Thanks.

Can you post a pic of what you have so far? Bottom of antenna and how it's mounted? Might help determine what you are missing.

Coax should screw into bottom of antenna. Sounds like you are missing something.

Do you have someting like this in the mix?

Antenna screws into the top, mount bracket or location goes in the middle below the white insulator and coax screws into the bottom.

I believe that is exactly what I need.

The antenna is basically a screw end. Then I have it connected to this:Quadratec Exclusive U-QD1 - Stainless Steel Quick Disconnect For CB Antennas & Trail Flags - Quadratec

Which again has basically just a screw end. No hole to insert the coax connecter in.
