Dead as a door nail

I jumped in my jeep and started it...it puttered and died so i tried again and gave it some gas and it did the same thing...then on the third try something happened and everything went out...nothing works the electronics dont even come on with the battery...like the ignition just shit out or something, i cant jump it or anything and there are no blown fuses. Any ideas?!

Check the OTHER end of the battery cables. A good/jumped battery won't help if it's got no connection to the alternator/starter/ground.

Put the transmission and transfer case in neutral, and run a hot line from the positive terminal of the battery to the post on your starter/solenoid. If it cranks, then you've split half of the problem out.

Bad cell in the battery? Have you tried switching out the battery yet? It can show a voltage on the meter but peter out when you try to draw a load from it.

A digital multi meter will help you find the problem. For $10 you can get one. Check all grounds and all power wires and where they connect. Make sure all ground connections are metal to metal. Even the smallest it of rust will give u problems

Ya i switched the battery and still no dice, the only thing that happens is the buttons on the radio light up and the oil guage bounces. I even left the battery disconnected and unplugged the computer for about 15 mins and still no luck, i narrowed it down to not being the ignition cause the dome light and headlights dont work either
