Delete "Jeep" from UConnect Display

My first 430N system was replaced by Jeep as the Nav system didnt work. On the original, when I choose "Picture View" and selected one of the photos I had loaded, the picture of the word "Jeep" disappeared. On the new system, it is showing frome behind my picture. Really bothers me.

The "Jeep" picture is not in my list of pictures, but must be saved on the HD someplace. Anyone else experience this? Any way to delete? Strange that this didnt happen on the first unit.

Thanks,
Allec

Your pictures are not coming up for me, but could the Jeep image be burned in the screen?

. LCD screens don't burn in. That is a trait of plasma displays and CRTs and I have yet to see a car stereo with a plasma.

Not true. Google LCD screen burn in. They are less susceptible, and often it can be reversed. But does happen.

Is it showing just the light blue 'J' to the left of your picture? If so, what software version is your stereo?

So you're at revision 50.00.07 which is the latest update. You should not have the blue Jeep background at all. You should have a green Jeep logo in the upper right hand corner.

There is an update the rest of us are using that has the correct background. See this thread post #134 and you can see where I had the blue "J" and how it was fixed. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/uco...-247157-5.html

You can download the file, burn a dvd as described in this thread, and reinstall the software. Or your dealer should have the disc and should be able to reinstall the correct version.
